$101,587.20 - $160,201.60 Annually **Although there is a salary range for this position, salary may be negotiable depending on experience.**

Manages and coordinates a wide variety of project engineering development and oversight activities.

Education and Work Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a closely related field and five (5) years of full-time demonstrated professional engineering experience, four (4) years of which was in a supervisory role, preferably within the last twenty-four (24) months.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess and maintain a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. If registered in a state other than Nevada, must obtain registration as a Professional Engineer from the State of Nevada within one year from date of employment. Must possess a current and valid Class C Driver's License at the time of appointment.

• Ability to manage Traffic Signal Operations
• Demonstrated ability to oversee Traffic Incident Management
• Ability to review and maintain data analytics
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff and projects
• Knowledge of emerging technologies

Manages and coordinates the work of assigned engineering department staff; performs performance evaluations, develops staff, engages in employee relations. Creates, directs and manages strategic planning programs and projects; assures structure of plans and projects are defined to correspond with RTC goals and objectives; defines resource needs, timelines and priorities. Provides oversight and administration of programs, projects and contracts from inception to completion. Oversees safety responsibilities for areas assigned and ensures that direct reports are trained on safety procedures, fully compliant with procedures, and held accountable for breaches in safety and security protocol. Manages relationships with other local, regional, state and federal agencies. Develops, administers and monitors adherence to policies and procedures; responds to inquiries from staff and managers by providing information, interpretations, or resolution of issues/concerns. Represents the RTC in meetings with groups or individuals; answers queries and provides information/assistance as required. Participates in professional development sessions or seminars; stays current on trends, innovations and legal developments in the transportation planning and engineering fields. Supervises the production and maintenance of required reports, records and files. Operates a variety of office equipment, to include computers and associated software. Provides information and assistance to internal and external customers as required. All other duties as assigned.
