President's Message

Dear Mountain District Members and Friends,
As we welcome the arrival of warmer temps and longer days, we’re reminded that spring brings renewal, growth, and new possibilities. This time of year provides the opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been, check in on our goals for the year ahead, and recommit ourselves to building a strong, connected professional community.
Spring is an ideal moment to think intentionally about our people, especially our younger and emerging professionals. As our workloads grow and projects move quickly, it becomes even more important to invest time and energy in encouraging younger staff, supporting their development, and inviting them to become engaged members of our profession. To our younger members and friends, take the initiative to explore how participation in ITE can support your growth, expand your network, and help shape the future of our industry.
With the anticipation of possibilities this year, the ITE Mountain District Annual Meeting is on the top of my list! The summer months are right around the corner, and I encourage everyone to register early to join us for what is to be an excellent conference. Booking your hotel reservation early is highly recommended. Make sure to book your stay to secure a room at the venue. The Technical Program will be announced soon!
We are always looking to strengthen our Mountain District Committees. If you're looking to get involved, consider joining our Communications Committee by contacting Devin Moore at [email protected], or lend your skills to the Service and Outreach Committee by reaching out to Jennifer Rosales at [email protected].
Finally, the Mountain District Awards deadline is approaching March 10th. This is a great opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of our members over the last year. More information on the Mountain District Awards can be found here.
Let’s embrace the energy of spring and work together to cultivate growth, opportunity, and connection throughout our District. Make your plans for the annual meeting, can’t wait to see you in Flagstaff!
-Lindsay Saner, 2026 ITE Mountain District President
