About Arizona Section

Welcome to the website of the Arizona Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (AZITE).  We are a society of transportation professionals collectively engaged in the development of multimodal transportation systems that address current and future transportation needs of our communities.

Whether you are a visitor or a member of our Section, we hope this website is a useful source of information and will help you keep in touch with professional colleagues.

Our monthly meetings are held over lunch on the fourth Thursday, at a location in the Phoenix metro area.  Upcoming meeting announcements are posted on the homepage as well as on the calendar.  The Southern Arizona ITE (SAITE) Chapter meets monthly in the Tucson metro area. Please visit their website for information on events in Southern Arizona.

Your ideas for improving our website are always welcome.  Please send them to the webmaster or any of the board members via our contact page.

JLG Student Leadership Award

The ITE Arizona Section each year recognizes an exemplary undergraduate/graduate student chapter member who has shown exceptional dedication to the transportation profession through ITE service, mentoring, research, real-world experience and/or other noteworthy accomplishments. Initiated in 2016, the award was named in honor of Jenny L. Grote, who spent many years of her ITE service promoting student involvement through participation in an organization that serves all levels of all transportation career paths. The Arizona Section is proud to have recognized the following recipients of the JLG Student Leadership Award:
